LEBANESE STYLE HUMMUS
Ingredients
- 2 cans chick peas (drained and washed) about 4 cups
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
- ¾ cup of water (more if you like it thinner)
- 2 small cloves of garlic (finely minced)
- ½ cup of Tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 2 tbsp. of Olive Oil
- 2 tsp teaspoon salt
- Paprika, fresh mint, radishes (garnish optional)
Instructions
- In a food processor, put chickpeas, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Blitz
until smooth. Add water gradually until the mixture is soft but not runny. The texture
you want is velvety smooth. - Taste the puree and adjust salt and lemon juice to your liking.
- Serve in the center of a platter or in a bowl. Garnish with olive oil, paprika, mint, or
parsley. - Serve as a dip with vegetables, or with grilled meats and pita bread.
